Mixed Media Challenge ... The Wheel Of Chance

Hello and good morning to you!

I have a project to share which I did for this week's challenge at

This is the lovely colour palette

Some time ago the lovely and Uber talented Miss Mona Pendleton sponsored the challenge at Papercraft Star as well as kindly sending each of the DT the Timeless stamp set and Time Pieces die set designed by her exclusively for My Favorite Things ...

Well, today myself and the rest of the DT at Papercraft Star have been given the opportunity to create a Mixed Media project using Mona's fabulous products, and have them featured up on the blog!

If you follow me you will have seen these stamps and dies frequently on my projects ... I really love them!

For today's challenge I created a wall hanging

I started with a sample tile I picked up in the wood flooring dept of my local DIY store ... My lovely brother cut it into 3 wooden plaques for me to play with

The plaque was first painted and then I went over it with white crackle paint before beginning my layering...
The woodgrain background is paper from the same store and I dabbed white paint over it ...

The clock has been stamped, die cut and then embossed in copper powder - the hands on the cogs (all of which are part of the set) were covered in Vintage Photo distress inks ...

There's more paint on the chequered paper and on my butterflies and the
"Time to be Creative" stamp is also part of the set

I also embossed a little wooden gate and watering can that you can just see peeking out

The burlap is actually made of paper and the Washi Tape was perfect with those little cogs
You can see I had a lot of fun making this ... and I will be using the stamps and dies for a long time to come ... They are so versatile ...
Here's a link to the PCS blog where you can see our original projects using the same stamps and dies... GO visit

to be inspired by all the projects this week

I'm sure Mona and Sue would love to have you play along and I can't wait to see what you create!

Many Thanks to Mona for this opportunity and for her generosity

And thanks to you for stopping by
