Double D Challenge

Hello again...

Well, I had a surprise visit from my brothers yesterday ... Though I see my brother Ron regularly, I hadn't see Rick and many years and yet it was just as though it was yesterday... That's family I guess and you know it was so lovely for us to all be together and made me so happy

Rick is on my right in the jacket and there's only 14 months between us, Ron is big brother 4 years older than me.
I just had to share that happy news!

A new challenge starts at Double D today

A Blue & White challenge hosted by team Diane

I wanted to try stenciling with watercolour and here's what I came up with

As always I just used plain card stock (not watercolour card) I like the brightness I get with ordinary card, but I hear Ranger does a pure white watercolour card so I may check that out.

The stencil was one given to me a few years ago by a blog friend and I used Gansai Tambi paints to work with

I die cut some feathers and then painted them too and added some splats of white paint...

...And a few droplets of Glossy Accents

Both teams at Double D have created cards to inspire you ... If blue and white are your thing, link up with us, we'd love to see your creations and you'll be in with a chance to win this fabulous stamp set too!

Thanks so much for stopping by - Have a great day!

So glad you got to have some time with both brothers--love the pictures! I really need to somehow see my little brother this year. While my dad was alive I took him regularly to see my brother & my sister would meet us there. Such happy memories just sitting around visiting. Anyway--I love your creative card, Ros! Never thought to try painting through a stencil--looks fabulous, as do the feathers!

Roses and feathers -- what a beautiful combination! And such a pretty blue with your expert watercolor technique. I love the bright white paper, too. The dull look of good watercolor paper is an unfortunate drawback. Some say the bright white WC paper isn't such good quality, but I don't know from personal experience. Your watercolors always look fantastic. And what a nice surprise to have your brothers drop in! I gather your brother, Rick, lives some distance away. Love that you shared the pics!

Oh that must have been a lovely visit for you. As an only child I have no idea what it's like to have siblings but your smile shows how excited you were. The card is so pretty. Haven't tried watercolor with stencils yet.
